Impact Stories: Community Transformation

Dr. Haruna Maiwada, Sadaukin Kaita and Dan Amanar Sarkin Katsina, is widely celebrated for his silent but impactful leadership. In May 2025, the Emir of Katsina honored him with the title Dan Amana for his consistent service to humanity quietly helping thousands without publicity.

His legacy in infrastructure and access development is clear:

we have constructed an 800 meters asphalt road in gidan dawa katsina state, improving local access to education and markets.

Installed 600+ solar street lights across Katsina LGA to improve security and nighttime mobility.

Constructed over 20 solar powered boreholes in water deprived areas such as Katsina and Kaita LGAs.

Fully funded the construction of a modern Clinic in Filin Samji, Katsina currently providing With 100% free medical healthcare to the community.

Youth & Women Empowerment:

Over 5,000 women and youth trained and empowered through programs in tailoring, soap making, agriculture, poultry farming, ICT, and more.

Distributed cash grants ranging from ₦40,000 to ₦80,000, as well as grinding machines, sewing machines, and water pumps to support small scale enterprises.

Agricultural Support:

Distributed water pumps and organic liquid fertilizers to 500+ farmers across Katsina and Kaita LGAs. to boost yield and sustainability.

Beyond infrastructure, Dr. Maiwada’s deep investment in people focused development continues to change lives across Katsina State:

Education Support & Access:

Sponsored JAMB registration for over 850 students across Katsina.

Enrolled over 500 students in private schools with full educational support.

Distributed laptops and school supplies to enhance digital literacy.

Through the Haruna Maiwada Educational Support Programme, 1,000+ students benefit annually from tuition scholarships and learning materials.


Food Distribution & Welfare Support:

Over 8,000 vulnerable individuals (orphans, widows, and the elderly) received Ramadan food packages and relief items between 2024 and 2025.

Annual welfare and feeding programs continue to impact communities across Katsina State.
